Description:
To provide quality of food and beverage service that is consistent with SOP at all times. To support and assist the Bartender in delivering exceptional service to all guests. This includes correct set up of the bar in line with laid-down procedures and par levels, re-stocking garnishes, ice, alcohol and mixers, collecting, cleaning and wiping glassware, arranging alcohol store room, assisting with deliveries, arranging and organizing bar coffee area, completing opening and closing duties and adhering to sanitation and safety standards (ISO).
Responsibilities:
- Charge guest through MICROS POS system for items purchased by guest
- Maintains on average 80 mini bars per shift
- Anticipate guests’ needs and provide service before being asked
- Maintain a professional appearance and friendly attitude toward guests, other employees and management staff
- Performs necessary tasks to service guests, taking and filling all food and drink orders and assisting in maintaining guests dining area in a clean and neat manner
- Regular attendance in conformance with Hotel standards is essential to the successful performance of this position
- Adhere to all store operating policies and procedures at all times
- Advise customers on nutritional content of smoothies and pro shop items
- Participate in creating a strong team sprit amongst co-workers
- Greet all guests promptly in a friendly manner and be well versed in all activities of outlets and hotel
Requirements:
- High School Education (some education required, diploma or GED preferred)
- Bar attendant experience preferred
- Previous experience at a food establishment preferred with point of sale knowledge
- Position involves sitting, standing and/or movement throughout the day
- Duties of maintaining inventory will involve stooping, bending, lifting, and grasping, pushing, pulling, or otherwise moving objects weighing as much as 45 lbs
- The Mini-Bar attendant is responsible for restocking Mini-Bars
