Job Responsibilities:

  • Coaching team members on effective sales techniques and methods to create value, retain accounts, and increase revenue
  • Ensure a positive and conducive culture within the Account Management department as well as adjacent departments
  • Training team members on soft skills, products, and services required to be successful in the role
  • Coordinating with cross-functional departments to develop and promote new products and services, improve processes, and ultimately develop delightful client experiences
  • Consistently grow your team’s book of business each quarter, while meeting retention Targets
  • Proactively build and maintain good working relationships with all key stakeholders (internal and external)
  • Assume ownership and accountability for the team’s sales funnel and day-to-day servicing and operations (policy renewals, endorsements, claims, pre-approvals, escalations… etc)
  • Developing and delivering world-class customer service / sales training on an on-going basis
  • Discover and implement opportunities for additional revenue channels

Job Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in a B2B or account management position (insurance industry experience preferrable)
  • 2+ years of experience managing and developing a team
  • Relationship building with both internal and external stakeholders (C-suite, upper and mid-level executives)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Strategic, analytical, and critical thinking
  • Ability to demonstrate experience in setting a sales strategy followed through to execution
  • Ability to demonstrate negotiation skills in a competitive, high-pressure environment
  • Commercial acumen and problem-solving
  • Obsessively organized and detail oriented (excellent at prioritization)
  • Experience working in a high-growth environment
  • High level of emotional resilience and empathy
