Description:
As a Coastal Engineer, you will be working on a number of projects throughout the Middle East, which Jacobs are currently supporting. You will support the design and coordination of coastal and maritime infrastructure – assisting with design reports.
Job Responsibilities
- Numerical modelling of coastal processes (wave transformation and penetration, hydrodynamics and sediment transport)
- CFD modelling
- Vessel navigation and mooring studies
- Planning and execution of field measurements
- Programming (VBA, Matlab)
- Machine learning techniques
Job Requirements
- As a successful candidate you will be degree qualified from a recognized University in an appropriate field, as well as having 3 -7 years of experience operating as a Coastal Engineer.
- Experience of working in the Middle East is advantageous as well as being a qualified member of a recognized institution or organization (to include but not necessarily be limited to IMarEST, APM, ICE, RICS, CIOB, AIA, RIBA).
